REFURBISHMENT / RENOVATION

Bird in Hand, Reading

A 14th Century Inn with a modern touch

The Bird in Hand is a charming 14th century inn that has been tastefully updated to highlight its historic charm. The pub’s trade area and function space were fully refurbished in a 9-week period, along with all 16 letting rooms.

The external repairs and decorations included the formation of a new rear terrace patio area. Sand blasting was used internally to clean the original beams and bar servery, and the entire pub was decorated with new flooring and M&E.

Following the refurbishment, The Bird in Hand was awarded 7th place in the AA Good Pub Guide for Berkshire.
